King ColorCore® (HDPE) HDPE (high density polyethylene) is a versatile environmentally stabilized plastic that is easy to engrave and made with a high-impact-resistant polymer to handle more abuse than conventional sign materials. ColorCore® is a superior homogeneous sheet, made with a unique state of the art continuous process called PolyFusion®. It is manufactured to the highest standards in the industry. ColorCore® is UV stabilized, so it's made for the outdoors and is a more expensive material than ABS or wood. ABS ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) has good impact strength, formability, stiffness, excellent aesthetic qualities and toughness, plus is a good general purpose, low cost material. ABS can be painted but will seperate from the material in time, so some maintenance is necessary. AZEK® AZEK® has a smooth, natural white finish & will retain its good looks without maintenance. It is impervious to moisture and insects and will not rot, cup, split, twist or warp insuring the long lasting, low maintenance beauty of your project. AZEK® is manufactured with UV inhibitors throughout and does not need paint for protection, however, has excellent paint adhesion and can be painted to achieve a custom color. No moisture cycle within the product ensures that paints last longer on AZEK® products than on wood. Wood Natural beauty and inexpensive, but requires maintenance. All signs are treated with an exterior oil-based stain and paints and are guaranteed against chipping and cracking for 1 year from time of delivery.
